Hey you guys. I currently have 2 ipod video 5gs. One of of them is rockbox. on the other is regular apple software. To keep it short:
All running lossless
Rockbox: If no EQ is on, but sound settings are altered, runs like a dream. If EQ is on, stuttering starts to happen.
Regular Software: : If no EQ is on, stuttering happends every 10 minutes or so and only for a couple seconds. If the EQ is on, the stuttering starts like crazy!!!
I love EQ. The Electronic brings out my SE530, so EQ is essential. Rockbox with sound settings altered but no EQ is pretty good, but i hate the rockbox interface.
lags too much.
notes:
1. When my music was encoded in AAC, no stuttering whatsoever happened.
2. The way i loaded music onto the ipod with regular software:
i had music on my rockboxed ipod in the root.
imported the music from the root onto itunes without copying to harddrive of computer
put songs on regular ipod from the root of rockboxed ipod
(does this affect anything)
3. Stuttering used in this text refers to a sound simular to when a CD starts skipping.
