Ipod shuffle problems

My shuffle was working fine, but I reformatted it for a new computer, and now when I turn it on, the status light (above the controls) stays yellow/orange, and nothing works, no sounds or anything. Also the battery indicator only works when off. I left it charging all night BTW.
Im thinking maybe its simply broken?

how did you reformat it? using the ipod updater? if yes, try it again. if not, try it.

Sounds like you might need to send it back for repair or replacement. I had the same problem with my Shuffle awhile back - Made in China, what can you expect?
