The recent CNet review of the 2G Shuffle states that you can switch between playlists by clicking the play/pause button three times quickly. Can Shuffle owners here please confirm if this is true for either generation? This feature would sell me on the Shuffle because I could use it as a "CD changer", throwing in playlists of albums and switching between them easily as opposed to clicking through each track to get to a different album. Is CNet misinformed here? I'm not seeing the feature in either Apple manuals.

not sure if it has changed, but with the original pressing play 3 times brings you to the begining of the playlist (the only one on the shuffle). you can't have multiple playlists.

the new one may be different, but i'm guessing cnet just worded that poorly.

'There's no way to navigate among specific albums or artists, but you can click play/pause three times fast to skip through playlists.'

The first part of that suggest you cannot do what you (and I) want. The second makes no sense to me

Meh. Apple REALLY needs to add this feature, it would instantly sell me on the Shuffle. It probably takes zero effort to throw in. On SlimX CD players, you can switch folders by pressing the track seek button one time quickly, followed by an extended press. It would be amazing if the Shuffle could do this with playlists.

Yeah, but the only way to get folders on the shuffle is to use a third party db builder and dump itunes. Third party firmware anyone?
