ipod rockboxed: very short life battery!

i installed rockbox 3.2 in my ipod 5g.i looked that life of battery is very short!
what is the best setup battery in rockbox setting?

Are you sure your battery is normally ok?

in real, i changed battery in december (buyed by ifixt).tha battery is the same of original ipod 5g, but i noted that this is irregular . (the led's battery pass from green at red and from read at green). with rockbox this problem is very visible!
do youn know the best settings?

I can't help you with any settings but I do know a significantly reduced battery life on a rockboxed 5g ipod is expected. A friend uninstalled it because it made it unpractical for his needs

The only thing that changes with the battery settings change in rockbox is an average playing time shown on some WPSs along with the battery percentage.
I've faced the same problem on my ipod, you can read how it was solved on Ipod Video 60GB: Poor battery life under rockbox (2 times less than expected)

I would double-check the battery. Drastic shorter battery run-times used to be an issue with Rockbox but no longer. Ever since the official release, my run times have been on par with the OEM firmware. I've been using my Rockboxed 5.5 for over 6 months and have had zero issues with it nor the battery per charge.

My 80gb lasts for over 20 hours, which is around the advertised mark.

That's great the Rockbox team have sorted the battery life issue. My experiences are obviousley somewhat dated
