iPod Remote With Amp

I have a clip-on remote dealie for my iPod that I love having. But now, thanks to y'all, I'm hooked on the improved SQ of my amp. So, maybe a dumb question, but can i somehow listen thru my amp via my iPod's line out and still have the remote controlling on/off, volume, and tracks?
Do any portable amps have a clip-on remote controller?
I use my portable rig snowboarding and turn it off or down after every run, and it's a hassle to have to fish around in my inside pocket for the on/off/volume.

Thats a good question, I'd really like to know as well.

I highly doubt it unless you go mini-mini:

iPod -> Remote -> Mini-Mini -> Amp -> Headphones
