A lot of times when I turn on the power of my video ipod, whenever I press "play" on a song, it doesn't play! The ipod also doesn't make the "clicking" sound when I'm scrolling through the menus. Whenever I do this, I always have to press the center button and menu button to restart it! Does anyone know the why the problem occured and how to fix it so it doesn't happen anymore?

To get the clicking sound on you can go into the Settings and turn it on. I used to like the clicking just in the headphones, but that doesn't seem to be an option with the 5G iPod. I don't want the clicking out of the iPod because that could be bothersome to other people, so I just have it off. I don't know what to say about it not playing when you push play. Maybe a little more detailed description of the problem might help.

i have the same problem with my iPod. I called apple and they are sending out a new one for me. Every time I plug my iPod to my computer this seems to happen. The only way for me to get playback is to reset the player (menu+center button)

I'm starting to believe its the new firmware so once i get the new iPod I dont think i'll be updating it until they release a newer/less buggy one.
