iPod Mini... Help!

I can't install iTunes! Its says Windows 2000 or Windows XP, I have Windows ME! Do I specifically have to have 2000? And windows XP is just way way way to slow on my computer. I don't know what to do. I can't return it. Ahhhh help!

So if I was to do what it says in that solution thing than I should do everything it says from the beggining? Thats confusing. I don't really know what to do on that page. Can someone follow me though that solution? Thanks

It says WinME and above, I have ME why isn't it working? I tried downloading itunes 4.8 and it still says " must have windows 2000 or XP." I'm confused.
