ipod Firewire output and ALO cables

i have purchased a headroom desktop portable amp to use with my gen 5 80gig ipod... the amp can accept both rca's and 1/8 mini jack..

the firewire output on the ALO cables ive seen on TTVJ site looks interesting. anyone have experiene with them...

Firewire? ALO cables on TTVJ supports 1/8, RCA, or iPod docks, depending on what you get.

ok i meant the ipod dock out put that alo uses.. thought that was just called firewire output?? or line out i gues alo calls it

The dock connector on the iPod contains a number of pins, each of which serves a purpose. Some are used by the USB cable to transport data, some are used to carry a line signal out, some to carry a line signal in, etc.

The stuff ALO sells just only uses the line out pins, so you get an audio signal.
