Just restored my IPOD cuz I had some problems but now I cant seem to get it to stop automatically syncing.
The second I plug it in it starts to sync, so I hit the stop button but it then disconnects it.
I went into the "music" tab and unclicked the "sync" box and hit apply, but when I reconnect the IPOD its starts to sync, then suddenly stops (as if it realizes its not suppossed to do that) and disconnects!

I cant keep it connected so that I can manually put music on.
What the heck is going on??

Err, it's in iTunes. When you plug in your iPod, in iTunes, click on the iPod, and on the first page (the page with the picture of the iPod), there are couple of checkboxes. Check the "Manually manage music" option.

Forgive me, but I am an idiot.
I did not notice the blue scroll bar on the right, which whne pulled down, reveals the check box you were referring to.
Long weekend.
