Got one of the 30 gigs awhile back and have been very pleased. However I've noticed from time to time it will clip the very end of a song before it goes to the next. Not all the time, but it is noticeable. Could it be a difference between CBR & VBR files? Also noticed some .wav files don't play right as well. I originally ripped them to my hard drive in wav format through SoundJam.

Are you using ipod software 2.0.1? If not, you can download it from the apple site. It should solve your problem.

I used to hear a click or buzz between each track before update 2.0.1. After updating the firmware, the strange sounds are gone.

It says Version 2.0 under "about" I'll give the update a try. Anything special to do it?

Well... it's officially dead. Same exact thing happened with the first 30 gig I got... on the same machine. My brother-in-law's Mac has no problem with it. The work Mac appears to have now killed 2 iPods. First time I blamed it on a faulty unit. That doesn't appear to be the case now since I've killed 2 on the same machine. Anyone else have a problem like this? It won't power up or reset at all. When I hold down Menu & Play at the same time I hear it barley click after 5 seconds but nothing comes up on the LCD. This really sucks.
