Dear All,
 
I am trying to figure out how loud is my setup: Sennheiser 598 HD + Ipod Classic 6G bought in Germany in 2012. I want to have an aproximate idea about where the safety line is.
 
Since I do not have any instrument to directly measure the dB's coming from the headphone's drivers, I have to find a way to make an calculation or something like that.
 
Could anybody confim if the Ipods Classic 6G sold in Europe have a volume cap?

The Apple iPod Classic 6G does have the EU volume cap. I used to have one with my Sennheiser HD555 and it had enough volume for me as the headphones are low impedance but I got rid of it because it isn't great with over the ear headphones. Presumably apply the Rockbox firmware adjustment would remove the volume limitations although I am not certain of this.
