Of course they did. But if you check the link and recall all the trepidation some had about the process of changing them, this should assuage those fears.

Also note that this packager includes the plastic tool necessary rather than the screwdriver included in the most recent posting.

Also, if you check the original thread, I think you may find that I was the originator.

IIRC, the first fully illustrated disassembly was on a Japanese site about 16 months ago, so many of us original iPod owners were never concerned about it.

cool. i was just thinking the other store (PDAsmart) was charing more money for the same battery. i hope someone cooks up a better battery for the new version iPods.
