ipod as flashdrive question

my computer recently died and I needed to transfer 40 gbs of music to another computer. They are all encoded in apple lossless and if I used my ipod to transfer them over, would I loose any sound quality? I don't think I would, but just to make sure..... i'm a bit paranoid.

as long as your not uploading those files through itunes and instead using windows explorer you shouldnt have a problem ... i think anyways
