Ipod 4G (monochrome screen) 40gb VS NW-HD3? (audio quality)

I love the sound quality of my NW-HD3 but I maxed out the hard drive in only a few months. Every new player from most manufacturers only goes up to 20gb (What!) except mainly the ipod. I have read that the color ipods have audio quality issues due to the plug that outputs to the TV. However, I have been looking at the 4G ipods (with monochrome screens) and cannot find any audio comparison to the NW-HD3, or any other player (besides earlier ipods).

Does anyone have experience with both of these players? Fitting all of my music would be a great thing BUT I love the audio quality of the NW-HD3 and wouldn't want to take a step down.

How do they compare?

how does the audio quality compare though? what about creative players?

the NW-HD5H is about $450 through an importer, out of my budget.

the hd5 sounds the same as the hd3, so the hd5h should also be the same. creative players have custom EQ, so you will have more settings to play with.
