Hmm, this has all the hallmarks of an urban legend in the making. I just can't see this being true at all.

I dunno though.

Perhaps. Not sure why somebody would want to hack an iPhone and then activate the camera? Seems like a bit of a pointless exercise really!

I'm sure Apple will release an update if true.

Without being too rude, what credentials do you have to disprove it? Or are you saying this with no credentials? If the latter, that is a disservice to everyone. Again, not trying to be rude, but when someone who knows very little reads this, and sees you saying it may not be real, the assumption is you know what you are talking about, and they may listen to you.

EDIT: Once hacked, you can go to websites and istall software, call pay per minute numbers, spread it to other devices. Not pointless at all.

Thanks for the confirmation. MacFixIt has always been a reliable source of such information. I certainly hope that Apple responds with a patch ASAP...
