I am sure some/most of you guys are already heard rumors of Apple tablet.

Without going into detail, I just wish that it has the headphone out/digital line out/USB output (several), so I can carry around to play the musics.

The musics stored on my central FS, and stream through iPad or whatever they call it, now, I can move around anywhere in the house, watch/read whatever I want, and listen to the music in most comfortable setting.

That'll be nice...

That would be very nice indeed. They should really include a SPDIF out...

Given the number of Head-Fiers who have had public wet dreams about the possibility of a tablet form factor that would allow them to scroll through iTunes (or foobar/whatever) without a keyboard or mouse, I'm surprised that this thread isnt 300 posts long already:

Apple Tablet iPad / TabletMac

No confirmation yet on the earlier rumour that Wolfson has been contracted to provide the onboard audio.

Well, the conference is at 1pm EST, so only a few more hours before we get to see this in full detail.

I was very much interested until i heard it is going to run a modified version of the iphone OS. Also i doubt it has an optical out if it does ill be interested. If it ran OSX mac OS then i would certainly be interested. Unless they have something up their sleeve i doubt very seriously if i even kick around the idea of getting one. Id rather have a netbook, we shall see though.

I actually don't care what OS it runs with. As long as it's stable and provides what I need.

I want the tablet that I can read books/newspapers, watch movies, and listen to music while doing all of that.

If this iPad/iSlate provides that, I don't give a #*#@ even if it runs on Windows 3.1. (Well, to a point that is.

Yeah i guess its good for what you want it for. I would just use my Iphone for all that. I figured coming out with a new tablet they would focus on the netbook crowd as well which would be much better then we could all have what we want lol.

I use iphone as well, but I rarely read anything with it. It's too darn small to read anything comfortably for a long period of time.

I also find the safari on iphone to be very lacking and slow in performance compared to desktop counterpart.

Ill agree with those parts for sure. I just dont know that its going to be worth the 700 bucks or more that this is probably going to cost. Id rather buy a macbook for a couple hundred more. This is just my opinion of course for now. After 1 it may change all together and i hope it does.

Macbook is great, but it's just not as portable as this device is (or should).

If I use for work, yes, Macbook or whatever other laptops. But reading and casual movie watching/listening, this is far better in terms of usability.

That's where this is targeted, imo.
