I usually never advertise any of my gigs coming up, but The Beatles are really popular here these days..................

In honor of Lennon's birthday The Smithereens are paying tribute to the White Album by doing the whole thing from start to finish. In addition they will be performing a 20 song Lennon set which spans from the Beatles early years to his final recordings.

Finally, The Smithereens are also going to be reunited to perform a set of their material.

All the proceeds of the event are going to a charity which Pat Dinizio of the Smithereens is in charge of. Once the admission fee of $50 is paid all food and drink from therein is free.

The concert will take place Saturday, October 10th (day after Lennon's birthday), and will begin at 6PM and wrap up as late as 11PM, but you are not obligated to attend the whole thing obviously....I am a guest instrumentalist and will be in charge of all the keyboard parts for this event.......thought it would be nice to invite anyone who wanted to go.

The event is taking place at
The Scotch Plains Italian American Hall
Street:
1976 Valley Avenue
City/Town:
Scotch Plains, NJ

Let me know if interested.........

Man, I wish I were on the east coast. I saw the Smithereens open for UB40 around 1990. It was one of the best shows I've seen (the Smithereens; UB40 was so-so). Best of luck with the show!
