invest in ER-4P or settle with ER-6i

A quick one:
I listen to minimal techno etc. and rock, don't want an amp and use an ipod classic/nano.
I guess the ER-4P are the better allround talents and will make me happy for a longer time, right?

I use ER4P converting them to ER4S at times. I also use ER6(not i). If your budget easily allows I highly recommend stepping straight up to ER4. They have an easily greater amount of detail.
