Kerry and I were discussing tonight the inventor of headphones -- Nathaniel Baldwin.
We thought you would find his bio amusing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathaniel_Baldwin
Our friends at beyer (the real inventors of headphones as we know them) first introduced Head-Fi to Baldwin, with some great pix:

BTW, off-topic, I bought the display model of beyer's T50p at the last NY meet from Pete of beyer USA -- finally paid for them and took delivery. Wow! I think it is the category killer in the portable, closed, cups-swivel-flat, easy-on-the-head, listen-with-no-amp-right-from-your-PMP type. Worth the extra money over the ATH ES7? I'll let you know in a few months.
