Hi all,

We're thrilled to share with the community the latest addition to the Shangri-La family: the Mini Shangri-La Headphone System. While the original Shangri-La and Shangri-La Jr. models are basically the supercars of the audio world—stunning but pricey—the Mini Shangri-La brings you a more affordable yet still impressive performance for $2,300. Packed with a nano-thickness diaphragm and a solid-state amplifier, the Mini Shangri-La offers clear, detailed audio that brings out the best in your music. Want just the amplifier? It’s $1,500. Prefer just the headphones? They’re $1,100. But for the full experience, get them together—you won’t regret it.

Product highlights
  • Electrostatic headphone system with nano-thickness diaphragm
  • Nano particle coating for clear, stable sound
  • Nanometer protection layer for durability
  • All solid-state amplifier with direct voltage from power output transistors
  • Linear power supply and discrete filter system to minimize distortion
  • Fully balanced design in both input and output stages

It's what hifiman has been doing for the last couple years, I guess. From R10P to 400SE... Looks like the same headband.
Interesting, but the headband sucks

The headband looks like the one used in edition XS.
Although cheap looking and with loooots of room for improvement, Edition XS is very comfortable in my opinion and Mini Shangri-La is lighter according to the specs.
If Mini Shangri-La has a good and enjoyable sound quality, it may be a game changer.
I hope it can help to make the estat market more competitive and accessible.
Topping eha5 is also a promising milestone for lowering the estat entry barrier

It looks like an interesting offering, but unfortunately for me I am not at that stage of my audiophile journey. Next for me is the tube rabbit hole. 😂
