Depending on the reviews, it might be a competitive offering at that price point.

Surprisingly the most aesthetically pleasing product from HFM. $1,100 for the headphone alone is a serious draw. L700 comparisons should be taken seriously at this price.

It's what hifiman has been doing for the last couple years, I guess. From R10P to 400SE... Looks like the same headband.

The headband looks like the one used in edition XS.
Although cheap looking and with loooots of room for improvement, Edition XS is very comfortable in my opinion and Mini Shangri-La is lighter according to the specs.
If Mini Shangri-La has a good and enjoyable sound quality, it may be a game changer.
I hope it can help to make the estat market more competitive and accessible.
Topping eha5 is also a promising milestone for lowering the estat entry barrier

It looks like an interesting offering, but unfortunately for me I am not at that stage of my audiophile journey. Next for me is the tube rabbit hole.
