Well I feel a bad but there were a couple annoying instances that stopped me from buying this Mr1 up to this point but once again I’m looking at DAPs

@soundaware do you have any information for international audience about the 2019 update or time frame for m2pro outside of China?
Thanks

Yes M2pro is officially launched. I will organise the audition program ASAP, outside of China of course.

But MR1 and M2pro are directed to different ranges, M2pro is designed for IEMs and with less expand functionality.
MR1 is still a better one.

I will not buy players of this company - they lost my esther m1 during maintenance
Hi
I'd like to know details of your Esther, as far as I know, no such thing happened.
If it was our mistake, we will surely be responsible of that.

Response from soundaware:
"But China Post made a mistake of translating, sent your player to another place, and as a result, they can only reimburse ¥300, that is really insane.
I fully understand you being angry with this loss, but I hope you won't blame us because it's also not our fault."
Why don't you quote my full response with solution?
What you are doing here is ...
Guess I can only copy it by my own in case of more misunderstanding.

This is a real problem with spending serious money on products from China. (1). They can't be demoed, which is surely the most sensible way to go when you are spending £1000s on a product which has a ton of other rivals (2) Take ages to get repaired or replaced if they go wrong(which of course, at these prices, they shouldn't) (3) The insurance involved and potential customs charges are a real pain- it can cost £100 or more (4) Even after all that this chap above has to spend another $820 to get something back for his loss?
That seems a real shame. It would not encourage many headfiers to do business with Soundaware. I know it's been a long time, I appreciate you say your company is not to blame, but looking at all the hassles involved it seems that a more generous gesture of goodwill might be in order?

Just gonna shamefully plagiarise from the masterful summary by 6moons :

“ a Campfire Audio IEM slipped into the MR1's single-ended port...blissfully noise-free.....played it full fat: intense, with strong colour pop and massive detail.”

“Soundaware's MR1 belonged into the same luxury league where Astell&Kern's and Questyle's best strut their stuff.”

That’s enough gist to get my attention, for a beautiful creation of art which is seemingly dead. This device should deserve more reviews (with IEMs) especially for audio purists!

whatever happened with the v2 though? @soundaware
