I'd rather prefer the new material design to the music player and bug fixes, performance improvements. I think we'll get an update soon, we need to wait.
Just got my M6 Pro. It came with firmware 1.2, but I installed 1.31 straight away, did a factory reset, then installed and activated google play store.
First impressions good, but I have the following issues:
1) playing FLAC files with Shanling app - every other song cuts out for 1-2 seconds about 1 minute into the track
2) Tidal and Spotify - I can log into both, and change settings. But Tidal crashes when I try to play a song, and I can't hear anything from Spotify.
I've tried listening with a couple of IEMs and a headphone (all 3.5mm jack), but it's the same for all of them.
Very frustrating - have I just got a duff unit? Or am I missing something in settings?
Regarding Spotify (not sure if it works with Tidal too, it's not supported in my region), I had issues with it too but figured out a work around. It has nothing to do with where you download it from, you need to go through app permissions and allow phone for some odd reason. It won't load as quick as a phone, but now at least will work.

Battery life and memory management would improve and more importantly security updates would more up to date, since the device does connect to the internet with a personal google account. The processor is much better than ibasso, but the larger your library to more it can stick, every now and then. Should have been a 660 at least.

Thanks for the new firmware. But you still haven't removed the main problem. In all my compositions, the wrong number of tracks is displayed. Let's say I went to the All Compositions tab, and it shows 1000 tracks. I go to albums, then again to the tab all the compositions and already shows, for example, 3000 tracks. I go, for example, to the explorer, then again to the tab all the compositions and shows 2000 tracks. I actually have 6760 tracks. Sometimes the correct number is displayed, but if you re-enter the tab all compositions, 1000/2000/3000/4000/5000 tracks are displayed again. Please fix this as soon as possible. I noticed when 1000 tracks start to display, shuffle only plays the initial 1000 songs and often plays the same songs.
I encountered an annoying issue on the latest firmware. I connected the device to my laptop - open the SD card - deleted some albums - clicked library update - disconnected the device, and when I checked, the albums still showing in the device. So I deleted the albums manually from M6 Pro.
BUT, when I connected M6 Pro to my laptop again, the albums that I deleted before, magically appears again LOL

Didn't notice it before, but I felt that there is something wrong with shuffle all songs which I'm using a lot. Confirmed it's messed up.

You don't have to leave your all tracks list, all You have to do is click on another track from "all tracks" list and number will change. For now just do that couple times to get your full tracks list. Mine is 6219 atm.
