The PSVANE Horizon series CV181-AT features increased-density ceramic bases for better stability and low conductivity. Using HPC-X anode coating, it improves output power, absorbs excess gas, and extends lifespan. Compatible with standard 6SN7 tubes, it excels in voltage amplification circuits. Each tube undergoes a 24-hour burn-in test to ensure stability and reliability. Known for its powerful output and exceptional low-frequency performance, the CV181-AT delivers a rich, warm, and deeply expressive sound quality.

I bought these on Amazon a few weeks ago. They are sold in two-packs and both of the tubes I received were just incredibly microphonic - like to the point where if I touched the table my pre-amp was on I would hear a big *thud* from the speakers. I am returning both of these tubes and I would not recommend them to anyone. I was using them in my Schiit Lyr+ btw. Just seriously defective product, but at least they were bought through Amazon so no problem with returns.

It happens with valves, you can't set that every pair will be the same as yours.

Yeah, I have a Psvane CV-181 TII as well - great tube. I normally use a Psvane 6SN7-UK for my Lyr+, which is also a great tube. Too bad that these new Horizon ones were so bad. I do understand that bad tubes can happen but this was two tubes that were both bad and both in the same way. I just don't think that is so much an accident as it is poor quality control. To be fair, however, these were the first bad Psvane tubes that I have ever had and I was probably one of the first purchasers of these on Amazon so it might just be a fluke and/or the first lot was rushed out the door to get them into circulation.

Okay, a bit OTT for a fancy light bulb 😆

Actually I love my Psvane CV181-TII on my Schiit Lyr 3. Where does the AT sit in the range?

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

For audio vacuum tubes, the hierarchy of our product line is as follows:
Basic:HIFI、UK
Selected:HORIZON、ART
Premium:WE、ACME

The HORIZON Series is our latest line, featuring a more neutral sound compared to the Art Series and incorporating the latest technologies, such as HPC coating.
The WE Series pays homage to the classic Western Electric sound.
The ACME Series is our true flagship, offering a neutral and well-rounded sound profile.

Currently, the HORIZON Series and ACME Series are the only lines sold directly by us on Amazon.
All other series are sold by other distributors.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I would like to clarify that we conducted thorough inspections before shipping. However, we suspect that the issues with this pair of tubes may have arisen during the shipping process. The inventory process takes about half a month, during which there are multiple handling and transfers, which could have caused the problem.

To provide a better after-sales experience, we chose to sell on Amazon, allowing customers to return products within the policy if any issues are found.
We greatly value your feedback and have already begun a more detailed inspection of the second batch of products that will soon be available on Amazon.

Our team is very experienced, and the launch of the Horizon products was not rushed.
Although there were some issues during the process, we take them very seriously. The Horizon series is a key product for us this year and in the future, and we have dedicated a lot of attention to it. Therefore, it was not a rushed release.
