Rob - the above statements were so very true. Penon's aces are in their tuning capabilities, parts selection, cable design & build - a very, very dangerous combination!
I wouldn't be surprised if they (or any member of their team) collect, listen to, play vinyl, too.
Having said that, it's in the natural order of things to acquire the Very Best of category in their offering...

3rd album halfway, there's a very qucik turn of events, Volt Totem does "Toxicity" album exceptionally well.
was very surprised! i thought they were just exceptional for ballad, jazz, nothing fast, pacy. oh well - i was wrong, lols in a good way though.

I get that, too. The volts retain its analogue tuning w/ that added extension up top...

However, it was a different story when I used Leo Plus with Tia Trio. I did not appreciate the extended highs as much. Totem worked amazingly well with Trio. I feel that Totem pairs very well with virtually all iems

The Totems are an Upgrade to Any IEM, it's not locked into just the Volts,
I have a pair of American made flagship IEM, and it pairs amazingly well, far better to its own kilobuck cable upgrade.
They are a little stiff, but i can understand that, to "compress" those numbers of strands into a manageable diameter is quite a feat, even from seasoned cable designers / builders such as Penon.
i'm very satisified w/ the results, with how they render the sound field, they bring out the very best on any iem they connect to...

Early next month, Gonna travel 300 mi. south from where i'm sitting. Bring the Volt Totem and try them out.
From 2017, this (& the WA22) are bonafide, legit holo. machines, that literally create a ghostly shaped holographic imaging, bring those images right in front, an adult persian cat can cross the imaging w/o trampling the singer.
Very exciting times ahead...
