Hello Head-Fi!

We’re excited to announce the latest member of the MOMENTUM series of audio products—the all-new MOMENTUM 4 Wireless. Completely redesigned and refined to be our most comfortable, best-sounding MOMENTUM over-ear product yet, it is also our most intuitive. Of course, it is propelled by exemplary Sennheiser sound quality and a host of useful customizable enhancements for demanding listeners that put audio integrity first.

MOMENTUM 4 Wireless provides brilliant dynamics, clarity and musicality thanks to a 42mm dynamic transducers that are hallmark Sennheiser: deep and detailed bass, intimate midrange and crisp yet non-fatiguing treble response. And because your favorite playlists can exist entirely untethered to your desktop, next-generation Adaptive Noise Cancellation ensures that noisy environments never steal the joy from your listening experience—even if they constantly change. When you need to talk to others or monitor your environment (an airport gate, for example), Transparency Mode lets you stay in touch, with a touch.

With MOMENTUM 4 Wireless every interaction is effortless. Calls and voice assistant interaction is incredibly natural and disturbance-free thanks to an advanced 2x2 digital beam-forming microphone array and automatic wind noise suppression, which guarantees superb voice pick-up. Further, the Sennheiser Smart Control app makes it easy to customize the entire listening experience using the built-in EQ, sound modes and the new Sound Personalization feature. This assesses the user’s listening preferences and adjusts according to their taste.

Enjoy exceptional comfort

MOMENTUM 4 Wireless defines elegance with an all-new design that perfectly balances exceptional comfort and streamlined style. For all-day use without fatigue, it combines lightweight materials with a richly padded headband and deep-cushion ear cups. Meanwhile, the low-friction hinge mechanism easily adjusts to guarantee a great fit without placing excess pressure on the user’s head. The fold-flat design is also comfortable when worn around the neck and can be easily slipped into a bag or backpack in the slim case when on the go.

An effortlessly smart user experience

With an outstanding battery life of up to 60 hours and fast charging capability that can provide up to six hours listening in just 10 minutes, MOMENTUM 4 Wireless keeps the entertainment coming for long listening sessions and long-haul travel alike. Every interaction is effortless, and every need anticipated: Smart Pause halts playback when the headphones are taken off and resumes when placed back on the ears, so users never miss a beat, while Auto On/Off rapidly powers up the headset when it’s picked up and shuts down to save energy when not in use (a manual on/off option is still available).

The "touchpad" interface of the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless (located on the right earcup) brings intuitive gesture operation (volume, adaptive noise cancellation, calls, track navigation, Transparency mode), combined with voice and sound prompts, make controlling music, calls and voice assistants intuitive and easy to navigate.

they look great. ive been seing some the embargo videos on youtube. and they seem promising.
Thank you! These have the makings to be an awesome go-to daily driver for over-ear fans that listen all over the place. IMHO, sound-wise, they're a nice evolution of M3W; the wireless sound has a dotted line to the classic HD 25 sound (full, detailed, and non-fatiguing) but with a much "taller" image and a very fun L-C-R soundstage; the buttery smoothness of the response is certainly shared with the MOMENTUM True Wireless 3. The seal on the head is really well-done thanks to the revised earcup articulation and padding. We're starting a tour right away so that you can hear from the 3rd party reviewers, so be certain to sub to that thread :)

Man, I'm glad I got some Momentum 3s before y'all changed the styling.
I'm never mad about a Sennheiser purchase! Welcome to the #M3WClub mate!

Hmm, not sure if this is exactly what I'm after, might pick them up anyway. I can live with the SQ, which sounds very great even cosindering the tuning is more V-shaped, but I'm not a fan of the generic design and touch-controls over proper buttons.

But would love to see a premium wireless headphone from Sennheiser (perhaps around 2x price of the M4W), with more premium materials, more refined audiophile SQ (perhaps reminiscent of the IE600) and premium-tactile buttons instead of touch-controls. That's what B&W seems to aim for, PX7 S2 for the general consumer market and the PX8 for the high-end market.

The M4W seems like a Sony XM5 on steroids, which i'm sure will serve Sennheiser very well in the general consumer market. But I do hope marketing and availability can keep up with Sony, for Sennheisers sake. Thus far I can only purchase these at Hifiklubben in my country, which really isn't where the average consumer shops at.

So yeah, I really hope Sennheiser will release a model that can rival the BO H95, B&W PX8, Mark Levinson 5909 etc.

I honestly prefer APTX Adaptive over LDAC anyway, the latter is very unstable unless you have it around 660 kbps. ATPX Adaptive have similar SQ but with much lower latency and it scales automatically.

But yeah, sucks if you're stuck with an older android or a Samsung device (which will prob never add APTX Adaptive).

Aptx adaptive 279kbps to 420kbps, LDAC 990kbps.
Not supporting superior audio quality codec is an odd decision on Senn's part, but may be they do not cater for audiophiles market with this offering.
Well, one less thing I want to try out.

LDAC maxes out at 990 kbps, but in reality its closer to 660kpbs or even lower, it's a very unstable codec, I also doubt it was Sennheisers decision, more likely to do with Qualcomm.

APTX Adaptive is far superior in its dynamic nature and lower latency. But yeah, if you're stuck with a Samsung phone it can be disappointing.
