If it helps, I was able to confirm that the DTC-100 (included USB dongle with the Luna) works with Android and USB Audio Player Pro by testing with my Cayin N6ii (runs android 8.1.0). This was tested with it connected directly via the USB-C port on the N6ii.

Upon connecting I am prompted as to whether I'd like to open USB Audio Player Pro or Neutron (the 2 current apps I have installed for this kind of thing). USB audio player pro seems to work perfectly with both local and streamed files. Tried neutron once and I can't get it to work, but I normally do not use it, and it very well could be an app/android configuration I have incorrectly set up (or conflict with UAPP? no idea).

Volume changes work as well with the hardware knob on the N6ii in UAPP. This is the only android device I have to test with. No idea about other android versions or phones/devices, but the DTC-100 seems to be very flexible in what it can be connected to (at least with the 3+ computers + iphone and now a DAP I have connected so far).

Edit: actually, the stock Cayin app and Hiby app also work with this for me. Specifically, this works with the DTC-100 as the output, while the DAP itself functions as the source, including volume knob...interesting...in the past when connecting to an external DAC (which did have an XMOS chip though), I had some trouble getting things to work unless I used UAPP...

Usually I leave the DTC-100 plugged into the front USB of my PC these days for an easy + quick DAC so my experience is also a little limited. Anyways, hope that helps!

Huh, that's a bummer. For whatever it is worth, I thought it sounded a little better out of a computer anyways vs. the mobile devices I had tried it on (including iOS), but that coulda just been me (no hard comparison used really). Seems to draw a bit of power from the device.

That does suck but that is what I have run into with another dongle and USB Audio Player Pro. My Luna is scheduled for delivery on Monday.

The other thing I like about the Luna is how small and light it is (10g). From the early pictures I saw, I thought it was larger than it turned out to be. Very comfortable for long listening sessions!

I received the Luna today from @csglinux, thank you. I was wondering since I initially requested a July delivery if I can have some more time with the Luna since I’ll be writing a review. This is the 'minimal' tour package, so you're getting a little less than the other packages on tour. COVID-related disruptions to supply chains are finally catching up to us, and so we weren't able to get out the entire package in a timely manner. In fact, we found out that we're not able to get more beryllium material from Materion until October! So yes, we have had to be very cautious about sending out review/tour loaners.

The recent spike in COVID cases since the initial reopening has us worried as well. So please, take your time with this unit!

Thank you for the extension in evaluation time, but I’ve been listening to the Luna pretty much non stop since I received it, so I’ll ship it to the next person on the tour towards the end of the coming week after which I’ll begin working on my review.

Tour Update - 2020/06/28

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, our first and foremost priority is to make sure participants and our own employees remain safe and are doing their parts in minimizing public risk.

Because many of our tour members reside in major metropolitan areas that have been hit hard by the virus, many have been placed under strict stay-at-home orders for the past few months. Despite a progressive loosening of shelter in place measures in May, it is the opinion of our company that we proceed cautiously, and we will monitor the situation as it evolves weekly. The United States has seen a major increase in confirmed cases since June, and if this upward trend continues, we may need to pause our US tours.

In other areas, as the pandemic improves, and countries start cautiously loosening limitations on travel and activity, we will start adding more units/segments and people to the tour. Thus, we're happy to announce that we'll be starting our Asia/Pacific tour leg.

Sign-up is now open for UK users (TWO slots remaining) on the European tour. It is now also open for individuals around the Asia/Pacific, starting with three slots. The sequence of the tour will be grouped by country for easier logistics.

My Luna came in this week and given the short nozzle, I decided to use the Spinfit 240 I had picked up for my 64 Audio 4USE. Without the extra fit of these double flanged tips, I am not sure I would be enjoying the Luna. If you the Spinfits, I would encourage you to try them as you audition the Luna. For me it has made a significant difference.
