Plated cables are the worst cables. I have never liked them with any speaker system, they color the sound too much.
Pure copper or pure silver are always better ,at least in my experience.

yes , i think this is true the pure copper and silver sounds better to me as any of my SPC

i grabed out my tip box again , and without EQ the "best" fit so far , are final type e tips. will compare them to the M Size spirals when they are here..
the spirals in L size sounds brighter than finals , i cant get a deep fit with the L size...

I've got my new Sony 1a with CL2 and my new Ares II 4.4, and it sounds Incredible. The Ares II is a fine cable with excellent texture, tone, timbre and sound stage. It really compliments the 1A well, it's perfect synergy.

little update , this setup let me listen to the CL2 , without EQ

currently Fiio Q5s 4.4 out - > Fiio LC4.4D pure silver - > CL2 - > Final E tips its not bright / harsh anymore

will check out this combo with other sources. i think my spirals will take another week to arrive.. had to order from china...

I am sitting in Starbucks, I just did a grand tour with all my tips, comply foams, MandarinE peeled, Dekoni marshmallows, stock CL2 silicone.... Best hands down is spiral dots... I didn't try my Type E, will give it a listen when I get home...

Yeah I wait for spirals in M size .. comes from China ... takes a while .. meanwhile final type e M size deep fit , sounds much better than spiral dots L size ... without deep fit

Yes, I couldn't use the Large Spiral dots at all, they should be XLarge!
