I'm at 95 out of 100, high gain on my hiby r6, but like I said, both EQ and mseb drop the output volume somewhat, but I need them both on to fix some pairing issues between the two...

I'm listening to MTV Clapton unplugged right now, about 85 hours of burn in. Outside of illicit substances, I've never felt more like I'm there.... These have really started to mellow and settle down. All distortion I was having is gone now. Can't wait too see what these sound like with 150 hours on them Monday.

I am getting back the CL2 tonight after a week on loan so I'll be able to test.
Given how it pairs with the Solaris, I have an idea how it will pair with the CL2 and I suspect this is going to be a game changer...

Personal opinion, it really doesn't matter much. Construction quality of the cable and connections is far more important.

Plus, who knows what you're actually getting. I doubt anyone could tell a difference between a 6n and 7n copper cable, much less there is no realistic way to test the purity. Buying cables is like buying vitamins. You don't really know what's in them, but even assuming what is being marketed is reality, occ versus ofc would be way way down on the list of items on a cable that would most impact the sound.

Honestly, my $20 pure occ cable sounds great compared to other cables I've tried, but aside from better build quality, I doubt whatever I order on 11.11 is actually going to sound better. The only thing you can really say about price is that it is usually somewhat indicative of better QC and attention to detail....

To measure the purity of metal, it'd be nice to have a TEM or SEM with XPS. X-ray diffraction will let you scatter the electrons and produce a spectrum of what the composition of the material is.

With either of these electron microscopes, you can also see grain boundaries of the metals and any impurities.

But yea, this isnt stuff you'd have at home.

I was looking to get another balanced OCC Copper cable for the DM6.
I really like my ALO audio OCC copper cable. Its black jacket matches the CL2 very nicely. And sound is perfect.
