Does anyone know of any DIY solid state amps that are of easy to intermediate difficulty and are <$200? I have had my SSMH for a while now and am looking for something new and not involving tubes.... The Beta 22 is too complicated and simpler designs all seem to be sub-$70 portable amps.

M3 would be my choice as well. Instead of rolling tubes, you can roll opamps.

The CK2III is a good choice because the power supply is on the board - that makes construction slightly easier. It is a very good sounding amp, as well.

A dark horse might be the Dynalo. There are some issues with chip availability, but you might want to check Dan for board and substitute chip availability.

Shouldn't be any problem about transistors for the Dynalo. The 2Sk170/2Sj74 are available from amb and Beezar and the 2SA1015 and 2SC1815 are available from from MCM Electronics.
