This isnt about what I want, this is about what YOU want.... however, like any popularity contest, this poll *could* sway my final headphone pick.

In that case I would suggest the HD650s.

There really ought to be an "other."

And no, the RS-1 are not under $500 unless you find them used.

A lot of the headphones I'm listing I haven't tried, but I don't like the alternatives.

I'd go for some Stax (SR404 or SR303), Sony SA5k, MS-2i (which I prefer to the RS-1), UE10/Sensas, or HP-2.

Don't like the wooden grados or any of the senns. Senns feel like they lack detail and resolution. Haven't tried the DT880, but I'd like to.

If I could just have one headphone on that list, easy, SA5k. The RS-1 would be second.

But this is just a preferences question anyway. I thought you already owned and sold the SA5k?

Incidentally, it took me about 3 weeks of owning the SA5k to realize how much I preferred it over my HD650/600.

Best regards,

-Jason
