Selling my META42. Works fine I just want to move on to tubes and I need the money.
Opamp: OPA637 "BP" chips (Higher Quality)
Buffered with EL2001
Gain of about 10
All resistors are hand matched 1% tolerance metal film.
It is powered by an Elpac 24v DC power supply so it is not really portable. However you can't really make it portable with this opamp anyway (and still sound good).
Amp is dead silent, I only hear an almost inaudible hiss when I turn it up all the way (and I'm pretty sure that's because I am exceeding my Jukebox 3's SNR). Coming from the line out of my Jukebox I don't go over 25% on the volume knob (about 70 dB measured with a ratshack meter).
PM me with what you think is resonable I will have to work out the price later. If I can't sell it I'll just stick to this and maybe save up for a better source.
As for quality I would say that I am pretty good with soldering. Amp took me about 2 hours to build and worked right away, no cold joints or otherwise required to be fixed.
BTW I am including the power supply which is a high quality one since it's an Elpac regulated linear PSU.
