This is a great community of people (unless you guys turn out to be secretly evil or something).  To state the obvious: This is one huge advantage of headphones and the associated gear ⇒ it's (relatively) portable and events like this are feasible.  Not so with speakers (obviously).  But this aspect of headphone listening hadn't occurred to me, being able to meet actual humans in person and listen to their stuff without invading their homes and pissing off their wives.
