I did a search and didn't find much about what kind of interconnects you people use between your headphone amp and the pcdp. Does anybody use the Rat Shack gold mini to mini. doug

Dude, truly, there are REAMS of posts about that very subject. Search some more.

I did a search a week ago and didn't turn up much either. Headroom carries Kimber mini-to-mini and mini-to-RCA and also Straightwire mini-to-mini. Markertek also makes a 16" mini-to-mini and mini-to-RCA. The fixup site modifies Rat Shack mini-to-minis and swears by them. I haven't used them personally.
