Integrated FM Tuner vs FM Transmitter Accessory?

My question wasn't answered last time I posted this. Which one gets better reception overall?

They aren't the same thing... An FM tuner lets you listen to the radio on your player. An FM transmitter broadcasts an FM signal from your player so your car stereo can play your music.

Yes, or any FM receiver. In other words you could use it to transmit the iPod contents to your home stereo as well as your car.

This allows you to listen to your iPod in the car by broadcasting its output to an FM station that you can tune on your car radio. However, I tried that with a Belkin Tunecast once and the quality sucked. Use an AUX input or bring your CDs.

why would you want an FM transmitter? All of them suck... a tape adaptor sounds better...

I haven't had a tape player in any vehicle for 6 years... But I agree about FM transmission sucking.
