I found this pair at a garage sale, of all things, and bought them cheap from somebody who really didn't know what they had. I did not expect a lot, but they perform amazingly well - easily topping my Paradigm Cinema 70s and rivaling the quality (not the bass or the output, though) of my Paradigm Monitor 5 v.3's. The entire casing appears to be extruded aluminum, and they are surprisingly heavy for their size. They measure 7"x4 3/8"x4". I have not attempted to disassemble them - yet.

They say on the back:
Model BA-200
Peak Power 50W
Impedance: 8 Ohms
Art Audio Corporation
Made in Japan

Pretty standard for bookshelves, but I cannot find any information about Art Audio Corp. Japan online. There is an Art Audio that makes tube amps in the USA, but they are clearly not the source of these speakers.

Two (front & back) pictures of the right speaker:

Any/all info appreciated!

They look like radioshack minimus-7 imitations/variations. Those were definitely good speakers for the money/size.
