I need some new recommendations here folks...the new music jones' are really setting in hard. The best thing I have foudn recently is Bon Iver's For Emma Forever Ago...boy howdy is that good. Some things I have really enjoyed lately are:

Iron & Wine - The Shepherd's Dog
Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights
Bill Callahan - Woke on a Whaleheart
Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna....
Radiohead - In Rainbows

Let me hear what you all are into from the lesser known artists out there, thanks. OK so Radiohead isn't lesser known.

That Bon Iver is some good stuff. Check out this Daytrotter session with Phospherescent from last year ... Daytrotter | Free Songs: Phosphorescent | Phosphorescent

Just happened to be listening to Shepherd's Dog when I opened this post. Very nice record, in large part because of Brian Deck. Have you heard Josh Ritter's Animal Years that he also recorded a couple years ago? Mostly acoustic and very nice. Not sure if you are only interested in new stuff, but Califone's Roomsound with Deck on percussion and doing the recording is something of a modern classic in my mind, from 2001. Been listening a ton to the 1994 Cardinal record with Richard Davies and Eric Matthews. Great. Richard Davies own Telegraph from the late 90s is excellent too. Bless You by the Court & Spark has also been in pretty steady rotation lately. Sunset & Void by the Flaming Stars just got a listen. And the new British Sea Power is a blast. Such a huge field, so I'll stop there
