The Koss drivers fit these replica Portapro's and DX ships free worldwide. If you look around on Ebay you can find them as well but I prefer ordering through DX.

Anyway back in the day Koss made a pair of headphones called the PortaPro Jr.'s and they had KSC75 drivers. discontinued em though.

Thanks, so I need to pull out the KSC75 drivers from their housing and put them into the trendy stereo headphones housing? As opposed to just snapping off the headband and putting it on the whole KSC75 unit intact?
 
Is that difficult, will I need any tools?

Yep, just click out the Portapro drivers and click in the KSC75. I did exactely the same thing and it works perfectely.

so when swapping the drivers, do you need to switch across the cables and re-solder them?

No. It's stupidly easy. You click the old ones out and the new ones in. Cables are attached to the driver so click along with the rest.

thanks for all this info - but does it actually have to be the 'trendy stereo headphones' knock-off porta-pros that I switch the drivers from?
 
I already have genuine Koss PortaPro's - can I just snap the drivers off that and snap KSC75 drivers into the PortaPro housing without doing any soldering? Or do the drivers in the genuine PortaPro's not snap off?

Ofcourse! Hahaha... you can just click the driver's from the PP out and the KSC75 in. No need to buy the knockoffs.

... at which position do they click out? Where there is that swivel-type hinge - do I rip it out at that point?
