As the topic says. DOn't get me wrong.. I know there are Sony Mdr-r10 and many stax electrostats but right now I'm just a high school student and I don't have the cash to purchase those kind of expensive system.
As it is, I am already very happy with my beyer dt770pro +creek obh-11 combo. This setup is excellent for rock music/gaming. But right now I find that I am missing something from my headphone listening.
That is: feeling.
The beyer can let me feel the song, but not to the point that I sob when hearing sad songs.. or jump around when hearing happy/punk kinda songs..
Btw, my listening taste is 60%pop, 20 % slow ballad, 10%alternative and rock, the rest is jazz+classical.
What I want in the ultimate headphone is:
Right proportion of high mid and low,not too bright, transparency, soundstage(wide and deep), and most importantly I want to be able to feel as though the singer is right there, beside or infront of me(either way), I want to experience and feel the music . Not just listening it.. as I find that I have grew fond of listening lately. I have listening intensively about 1 hour just sitting in my comfy chair, closing my eyes and hear the beyer playing some of my favourite tracks.
Please help me in my search for my ultimate headphone. My budget is $400 max.I am currently planning to keep the creek and only get a new can. But if anyone can persuade me to go with new can+new amp and can give me such 'ultimate experience', I wouldn't hesitate to hear.
Thanks in advance
