In need of help deciding amp (or choices)...

Hello all.. I recently purchased an O2 amp after using a Soundblaster Zx card for sound.  After receiving and hooking up the O2 amp to a SMSL Sanskrit 6th DAC the (best way I describe it) bass slam is not anywhere close to what the Soundblaster Zx is.  After doing a bit of research and reading how the O2 can sound lean I was thinking about the Schiit Asgard 2 amp.  Would this be a good choice to get my "bass slam" back or is there another amp I should look at in the price range?

How do you have this all hooked up? It's possible that you're just missing a setting somewhere on the computer.

PC----via usb cable----SMSL-----O2----headphones.
 
The difference in bass is definitely noticeable between the above setup and from Soundblaster Zx --- headphones.  Also I do bump the bass up in the soundblaster eq settings and foobar using peace gui (using smsl as DAC).
