Hi,

I am looking for some new in-ear headphones for my ipod nano. However, since I have the Apple remote (also FM radio), I need headphones with a short cable (designed to be plugged to a remote, and typically with an extender).

I know of the Sennheiser cx400 or the Sony MDR-EX71SL.

Questions:

* Are there any others on the market (in-ear, short cable, good quality)?
* Which of the two is the best?

Thanks!
Seb

dont let the cable length be the limiting factor, the cable can be cut to the desired length and a new plug can be installed for very cheap. What is your budget?

Q-Jays have a short cable, but they are out of your price range. You might check the other Jays models.

Thanks, I looked at those but only the Q-Jays appear to have a short cable + extension.

The Shure SE series...but outside yr budget I think, even the lower priced models (110/210). Unless you bought used.

Ouch!! .. didn't realise you don't get the Amazon specials in the UK.

What about off of EBay? These are $(US)69 + $19 which comes to about £45 delivered. The seller has over 34000 +ive feedbacks so looks pretty legit and you can pay with PayPal (via credit card).

Or for a more "local" trade, there's these 2nd hand AH-C551s here on EBay UK.

sorry to make the post unrelated but the victor fx500 (my favs up to 300 shure se500) come with short cable that i cannot stand as i do not use remotes, rather i go straight from the ipod. but they are not released outside japan yet. i got them for rather cheap: with shipping only 120$ or so, but now they start at 130$ plus shipping
