In ear headphones vs around ear head phones. Which has better bass?

Usually IEMs unless you buy the Sony XB500 or XB700. I assume "better" means "more" in this case. I'll let someone else recommend some IEMs as my tastes tend towards neutral or mid forward.

Define better? More, lower, tight, sub woofer like? Need to know what you are looking for.

I have the titans and there are definitely other IEM's out there with more Bass (much more), even though I do think the Titans have good sound for the money. JVC FX101 has a ton of bass and sub woofer like sound but I am not as happy with the high end on those.

Okay so what's the best IEM for me that's under $20?

Overall, I feel the bass of IEMs is tighter.

Guess it's because of the ear canal working as a sealed enclosure, which helps control the driver, or something like that (just brainstorming, not trying to BS you).

What makes you recomend these over the JCVs mentioned above? And can anyone compare these to the Sony XB500s? (Which I currently own)

I don't like the JVC treble, sounds like screeching banshee's. Get them and find out.

I agree trying to burn them in right now to see if they mellow out and warm up
