I've seen that one before. His technique isn't "old-school correct" but its hard to argue with results. Glad to see a young kid with talent like that. Can't wait to hear him try out some jazz recordings.

If you watch closely, near the end of the performance, he switches to the 'old school' way of holding the sticks.

I'd like to see how he fits in with a full band.

Yeah I've seen this kid before. My drums are sitting in the basement stacked up (not because of this kid haha) I don't have time to bust them out.

Only near the end did he do something that I really liked. He was impressive, but in the beggining he didn't have much flow. Just jumping from one cool little segment to another, which I don't really like.

And it still needed more cowbell.

He changes up his grip of the sticks at the end.

Wow. I'm even impressed the kid wears hearing protection too.
