IMR RAH - Discussion / Impressions Thread

I'm sadder I have an ear infection on the right and cannot put anything in it :frowning2:
:(

Not fun! My ears have been blocked for ages thanks to a cold for the last two months. First month I was a good boy and tried not to use any ciems. Then I gave up as work (where I use them) was getting louder again. Thankfully the cold finally seems to be clearing so going to give my ears a nice long break over christmas and hopefully get them sorted.

Hope yours clears up soon. If not go to the doctors and get it checked out.

My Rah's arrived today, thankfully. As far as shipping updates are concerned, I didn't receive any updates after they reached Customs in NYC for some reason. Bout to give them a listen soon :)

What filter combinations are people using to get the best mids out of the Rah?
For all my IMR's I end up using pink lower/gold upper - seems the closest to a natural sound [with my particular set up at present]
I tried the Dekoni tips today - Unpleasantly unatural - made the low sound marshmallowy & punchy
(although they were great on a different pair)
I went back to my 'go to' tips now for 99& of my IEMs - NewBee foam - One of the few tips I have found that doesn't alter the sound much

Listening to one of fav test tracks for Drum tonality + cymbal crash - 'Joe Walsh - Country Fair SACD' the combo above with those tips gives about as good as close to a natural sound I can hope for.
After 100+hours, the low end is really tightening up now :)
mids and highs are great as well

Whoever did not receive your Rah yet and have your shipping updates stuck for a while. Just ignore it. Its its very unreliable even when not in Christmas rush.
I constantly get item atempted to deliver and thrown into delivery depot for collection while tracking says - "order with royal mail we will update you when we are sure you have wasted 7 pounds for delivery, and can go lose 3hrs of your life to collect it from the middle of nowhere"

Hate to ask here, but would anyone here be willing to trade some Small Symbio W or Spiral Dot MS tips for some new sized Medium and Large Symbio Ws? I have 5 pair of medium and one pair of large if anyone might be up for trading. 20191219_025648.jpg

Problem with some of the hardstyle is its sometimes poorly mastered. So you need a forgiving source

But known DJs like Headhunter, Wildstylez, Zatox(one of my faves) ect.their tracks with rah remind me when i used to go to Defqon 1. Sound is massive and aggressive.
There isnt any IEM that handles any edm or other electronic music better the IMR gear.

Last month I had my 7th Qlimax in a row so I know what you're talking about. If I may suggest you, try the new zanza lab chapters (tatanka remastered tracks)... they should sound very well with the Rah! With the Atens it's already a pure joy.

I just tried the pink lower/gold upper and I’m liking it.

I am still awaiting my RAH, but would be the recommended non foam tips for the most attenuated bass? Thanks

I don't think you need to attenuate the bass EVEN MORE on the RAH. It's the bass heaviest IEM I have ever heard

On that note - did anyone make experiences with custom ear tips for universal IEMs?

Only one I can think of is... taking a pair of w7's and putting them up to your ears.
