Yeh Phase should replace Aten i think. Though i love Bass i just fell in love with the planar and the more refined sound of Rah. So after investing so much in my source i will stay with Rah and then eagerly wait for its superior successor.Since my RAH's are gone for a bit, I'm listening mainly to the R2 again... it's interesting how balanced the RAH's sound in comparison, with ~150 hours on them.
And I have to admit, that I'm loving the stupendous amounts of bass once again. The RAH, I feel like, is the better IEM regarding stage, detail and seperation, vocals, sibilance, ect...
but with the Blue/Gold Filter on the Atens - let's say it fully satisfies a bass-heads needs.
Can't wait for the Phase, it's pretty exciting to think about 2 of those 15mm beasts in one chassis.

Agreed, i actually whacked mid gain on my amp1 mk2 as the bass is slightly strugling on low gain. And it does sound a lot more dynamic.I can tell you, the Rah scales insanely with more power the PAW Gold Touch certainly does a great job of letting the potential unleash especially in the bass department... there is more control and impact, wow!

I believe the push pull setup of the phase would give more bass controll. Allowing for subbass and not impactful bass.
Atleast that is how I understood it. So it won't have as much impactful bass as the old offerings like the Aten.
Will I lose use of Tidal? Sounds like Advanced version will really strip down the Android OS.Believe me. Jump from free version to advanced is bigger than from stock to free rom.
I'm stunned at how 3.5mm sounds now with just the free version. Already like a whole new DAP

Chat with him about tidal via skype. There is his contact somewhere on fidelizers site. And if you like single end and unless you are using amp9 i would suggest going balanced. The seperation and imaging is way better. Will I lose use of Tidal? Sounds like Advanced version will really strip down the Android OS.

Is there a problem with the given cable? I find it really low profile and comfortable.
I actually like it a lot it is really flexible and good for portability. I am using the balanced one for my amp 1. But for amp8 i need 4.4mm one thats the only reason why i bothered getting a new one.Is there a problem with the given cable? I find it really low profile and comfortable.
Also i personally would like it to be 1.2m, but i understand that might be less suitable for others.

The supplied cable is nice, but I wanted a 4.4mm cable so I don’t have to use an adapter. For $50 it was worth a try.

Is that the DX 160?
How do you like it?
I like it over all but using the mango only player it sounds way too coloured and glossy :/ Using the Hiby player though in Android this 'effect' is much reduced
and I quite like it. I think the 4.4mm connection further improves the sound. Amazing soundstage though
