Just got mine. It is indeed a more refined version of the R1 - I LOVE this baby.

Here is the balanced cable. The exact same as the normal one just 2.5mm balanced plug. Better version than the original. Still rather rubbery and thick but better than before from memory.

not necessarily. IMR will probably send them for review purposes and let us keep it. And even if they don't, i will just buy it if its better than the og r1
