1000+ Head-Fier
They are a lovely set. This is my first Penon. Quite impressedAs all of the IMRs, the Fan 3 needs burn in to open up.

With a half heart I sold my DM. It is one special IEM this one I agree. So much potential for a two driver set. I am sure my fellow Italian head-fier will appreciate them when they go to him!A good day for me. My Dark matter finished a 125 hour long burn-in. It has developed a lot so far and it is now a much better in ear monitor. Then i decided to adjust my eq setting for the dark matter. I noticed that my eartips were not fitting well and so i put H570 tips on it. Now it stays in place. It became super obvious that the dark matter is cable sensitive. It literally sounds like a different IEM just because I have put a new cable on it. It opened up to my ears as soon as I connected my Effect Audio Griffin to the Dark Matter. Suddenly an explosion of clarity, micro-details and deep bass enveloped me. Next thing I notice is that my amplifier was set to low gain. Gain settings matter a lot for this in ear. Switching to high gain sounded like I just bought a new amplifier for my dark matter. It is just perfect now. Should I buy an ARES 2 cable in the future?
I snagged a pair of the Penon Fan 2 from someone on ebay and they were my first Penon pair I've ever had. Must admit, my experience is pretty much the same as you. Very impressed with the pair and probably the closest I've heard to the IMR sound in another set.Today I received a Penon Fan 3 I recently ordered. A lovely set really, great for the price.
I was meditating a bit about this set's bass and IMR bass. Fan 3 has plenty of well balanced bass, reaching very low but having a good amount of mid-bass punch also.
IMR bass is not the same. I wouldn't even say it is more that Penon's ( It depends on which IMR set of course). Its experience is just more 'embodied', more first personal in a bodily manner.
While Penon bass is big but also more of a 'representational' than an embodied type. Penon bass is more like 'in front of you to hear'. IMR bass is more of a 'lived in your skull' bass. I think there is some bone conduction happening to make this possible. But that's only guessing from what I know.
With Spinfits it is quite comfortable.I snagged a pair of the Penon Fan 2 from someone on ebay and they were my first Penon pair I've ever had. Must admit, my experience is pretty much the same as you. Very impressed with the pair and probably the closest I've heard to the IMR sound in another set.
The only problem for me with them is the deep insertion that's needed. They are nowhere near as comfortable as the Engima or Elan+ that I rotate them with.
Fable, is the spinfits the best fit after tip rolling on the fan 3? How about the relatively deep insertion divinus wide bores? With Spinfits it is quite comfortable.
I would say, Fan 3's treble is a bit more crisp than most IMR sets I've listened to, with a BA type harshness at times. IMR treble is usually smoother even if less detailed.
Different flavours, both great really.
He's doing this to try and show his creditors he is owed money and trying to avoid liability. It's a total scam by a fraud. Forward your received emails to the police is the best thing you can do.Got another Tide email and now it mentions threats of legal action. With no way to even reject this refund, this is so **ck up.

Well, in a bizarre way, he IS owed money. I think we can agree that's true, even though it's weird. He's doing this to try and show his creditors he is owed money and trying to avoid liability. It's a total scam by a fraud. Forward your received emails to the police is the best thing you can do.
So he conned and robbed customers through Trinity and it comes full circle. It's good to live a moral and ethical life. I had no idea of this, but "what goes around comes around". Sad .Well, in a bizarre way, he IS owed money. I think we can agree that's true, even though it's weird.
Not sure if you saw the comments from the end of July, but somehow a slew of erroneous refunds went out to people, and now they are trying to get them back.
I received a legit payment for my Elan+ ... and an erroneous refund as well. I paid back via Tide using Apple Pay, connected to my bank account. I was reluctant, but it worked out fine.It seems the payments made in error are wanted paid back to tide to pay those who sent iems in? I've been advised not to pay tide. What a way to treat customers.
