Why do companies make new products?
Why do IEM companies make different iterations with different combinations of practically the same types of drivers?
Personally I find these questions interesting in their own right, but I wouldn't like to discuss these in this thread.

I changed the filters of Enigma last night from Black/Gold to Green/Red, taking a hint by a friend in here. Somehow the bass sounded a bit overwhelming. I think I find the presentation more clean and balanced like this. Even the treble is somehow more controlled.

What an odd combination Green and Red.
But with green bass is really underwhelming.
With Black bass is overwhelming.
Somewhere in the middle I found to be better. Grey is best for me.
Grey + blue and Grey+ Black.

While listening to EDM , Black bottom was the best.

I found black lower and gold upper to be a good match.

Fantastic flagship with second hand components with uncertain reliability. Then the real question IS why he needs to do this.
Maybe he did not pay his suppliers, so they don’t to supply to him drivers anymore

Or maybe it's just easier to buy back stock. Nothing to tune up then, just plug and play.

A quick word on . . . ADAPTERS

So, I have a 'at home only' expensive Sony DAP with 4.4mm and an 'out and about' Not expensive Hiby DAP with 2.5mm
Depending on life I tend to either have a 4.4mm or 2.5mm cable on any given IEM so rather than keep changing cables I prefer to use an adapter HOWEVER Ive found the quality varies. Any of the generic ones from Amazon seem to be pretty s**t TBH (such as GEEKRIA)

I was just using Elan+ with the 2.5 to 4.4mm Fiio adapter & thought it would be good to try a different adapter as the Elan+ is a very revealing IEM

Long story short I found the IFI audio adapter gave noticeably much better depth & body to the lows than the more linear Single Crystal Copper Fiio adapter!
I was surprised and it sparked the thought that others might have found bad ones or good ones they could share?

So I was wondering if ya'll had any experience or recommendations in regards to adapters and any to avoid !!

fiio BL44 SCC - Linear, smooth MAYBE shaves a bit of low end off ?

Ifi Audio Adapter - More low end body than the Fiio

DDHifi DJ44B - Didn't test as mine is 4.4mm to 2.5mm

I found these to be good

Very durable and I don't miss anything in the sound with them.

They have straight plug to L shaped variants too (3.5mm to 3.5mm etc).
