I want to note that the combination of Ibasso DC Elite + ENIGMA+ is also very impressive, it sounds very cool.

Try listening to ENIGMA+ with a FiiO LC-RE cable. I liked the sound of ENIGMA so much with this cable that I ordered an 8-wire, FiiO LC-RE Pro 2022
That's a great cable I use it on my Campfire audio Cascara!

Guys,
Someone suggested to change the polarity of aftermarket cable which I just did. I noticed a quite big difference in sound to the worst in my Enigma +: the sound is veiled with less bass and much more brighter. It seems that my Penon Asos cable was already connected with the right polarity of IMR because I don't have ear hooks in the cable
Based on this, I am wondering if Enigma owners who were complaining about Enigma being too sibilant were saying that because the cable was not connected in the right polarity. I suggest that they reverse the polarity of their cable and try again. I still don't think that Enigma is not sibilant by any means

In simple terms, then, reversing the polarity is putting the prongs in "backwards", right? Which could be a little awkward with earhooks.

Maybe I'll try, but I don't recall any difference with 3rd party cables versus IMR cables.

Is this what we need to do ? Put the prongs in backwards ?
Because I did and found significant changes.

All my cables have ear hooks .

Sound was tighter and clearer.
It's difficult to manage with reverse ear hooks.
I was confused so I just went back to the original 2 pin setup

Asking the obvious question: Has anyone ever checked with Bob or Brandon if this reverse polarity thing is true?

Someone should ask. Im really not sure what's right anymore.
I have one lavri cable with no plus - let me check with that too.
Okay, email sent.

Many moons ago Bob stated that the reverse polarity issue was only with the very early sets and it's now as normal polarity setup.

This issue of the reverse polarity statements is cyclical comes around every other year.
