@jon parker the mystery of auditory consciousness is no more no less than the mystery of consciousness in general. It is so interesting to me to observe our struggling with this ancient phenomenon here and be perplexed whether our IEMs or sources or cables are the factors responsible for differences in opinion. Let's continue this lovely practice...

Now about a misunderstanding about Enigma from my part that slowly dawns on me as I keep listening. Enigma is not actually narrow sounding or expansive sounding. Enigma is an accurate reproductive equipment and the differences in those and other characters are of the recordings. This was brought up by others recently but I had the chance to confirm this after some extensive listening sessions yesterday. It seems, what Enigma does not do, is to artificially expand soundstage. If there is one then Enigma will reproduce it. If not then it will sound narrow.

Yesterday I tried different filter settings on ENIGMA+ and came to the conclusion that the best option is Purple bottom and black top, this is the best variation without distortions in frequencies, without hissing in the upper and upper mid frequencies, very deep clear bass, very, very subbass deep and spacious, mid frequencies intimate and sweet, all voices are natural and real, instruments sound perfect and you feel each instrument as if you were touching strings and so on.
I listened to different genres of music and this filter option was universal.
When I went through different filters, I could not understand what was happening with the sound and began to get upset, but then I decided to put back the purple bottom and black top and everything fell into place, the music again began to bring me joy and pleasure, I got emotions and pleasure, what I expect from music. This is where my experiments with the ENIGMA+ tuning ended. I get real pleasure from listening to music. Amazing.

ps. as I said earlier, I use black AZLA tips with a gray leg (upgraded with orange memory foam) + cable from FiiO (this one suited ENIGMA+ best) + I listen to Ibasso DC Elite (transparent source, very musical and one might say neutral, no embellishment in sound, very good dongle, with excellent sound.)

Yes, I forgot to mention, ENIGMA+ is not a master in terms of high frequencies, it does not compete with some IEMs in this area, but I really like how high frequencies sound on ENIGMA+, they sound natural and do not strain or distract (pull over themselves) attention.

There are another tips that I like: Coreir Brass
@mekap wich cuktech are you using?

For those who like "ambient" or "trance" or whatever category it fits in, Erik Wøllo's new album Crossing the Equator is a nice listen, with good elements on the bottom end. Enigma handled that well.

TBH Bob answered to my friend today and he fixed PB1 issue and didn’t charge any cost to my friend.
He’s very happy IMR solved

In these cases - if you like the musician - one should always consider buying, especially via Bandcamp.

I recently watched a TV documentary and was very surprised that even mid-famous artists earn close to nothing from the streaming services we all use. Earnestly really ridiculous numbers. I remember a german artist who is no superstar but has a few records out and whose songs are regularly played on the radio from time to time so that I would call her not unknown. She earned 3x0 Euro via streaming in a whole year...
