What happens when you plug an ordinary LOD to the Imod/DIYmod, will it damage the imod? Produce no sound?

And what happens with the opposite, plugging an imod LOD to a non-modded ipod?

Im just curious

Since the DIYmod for the 4th gen ipod has the caps inside, then normal LODs would be safe to use?

Pretty sure.

However, the normal 4th gen diyMOD I often see has the caps in the hp out. So you can use a mini-mini to connect it with the amp or LOD with caps.

Not sure what you are trying to do here. It's my impression that the dock connector has been disabled on the imod and the only way to get the sound out is thru the headphone jack, so using a LOD with a 4th gen imod would do nothing.

Most iMods have the label on the back.
If not, best way is to contact RWA and tell them the SN of your iMod so that they can help you check it.
